Out of the Mouths of My Babes

We are entering the season of the "Knock-Knock" jokes with my 3 soon-to-be 4 year old. She and her brother roar with laughter over punchlines that only make sense to them. I'll spare you the jokes.

But yesterday my 3 year old was quite funny without realizing it. We had opened the front door for a moment to put some garbage out and my 3 year old told me to close the door, a "buggy" came in.

We were sitting in a rocker by the window when she mentioned that the "buggy" was on the window. The bug was the size of a fruit fly. She tells me "Don't let the buggy bite your children!" So I, with all the courage I could muster (I HATE insects) hit it against the window with my hand. Ugh...

Anyway, my 3 year old asked me "What happened to the buggy?".
I replied, "It's dead."
My dear daughter replied, "Does it need batteries?"

Clearly, these children have too many battery operated toys!
